How has RGI and Samantha’s Gift of Hope changed your lives?

RGI and Samantha’s Gift of Hope has forever changed our lives in the best way possible because they have given us the greatest gift we could ever get—our sweet daughter. We have this joy of being parents we had previously only dreamed about and honestly weren’t sure we would ever have. Now, every day is filled with baby giggles and snuggles, cheering her on to her next milestone (which is currently crawling) and trying to be the best parents we can be. We will never be able to repay RGI and Samantha’s Gift of Hope, but we will forever be grateful to them and are daily reminded of it.

What advice would you give to couples who are considering IVF?

I would tell them that if you are considering it look into grant options and financial help if that is a barrier for you.  Make sure you are confident in your doctor and trust him or her.  I personally wouldn’t want to go any where else besides RGI.  Maybe most importantly…open up to a small group of people if you haven’t already—close family or friends who can be there to support you and your spouse.  You will need them.

Now that you’ve been through it, what would you say to others seeking help?

Do not hesitate to get help or ask the questions you want or need answers to figure out your next step.  The people at RGI and Samantha’s gift of hope are so kind and understanding. They are willing to help and walk through the process with you.

How long was the IVF process from start to finish?

Our IVF process took four months from start to finish. We started fertility drugs end of February/beginning of March. In March, we had our egg retrieval before everything got shut down from COVID.  Then, we had to wait an extra month for our embryo transfer because of COVID, which took place in June, and we were thankful that our first one stuck.

What made you and your partner decide to seek help for infertility?

We decided to seek help for infertility after over a year of trying to conceive without any positive pregnancy tests and desperately wanted to have children.

How was your experience with the 100% Guaranteed Plan?

My experience with the 100% guarantee plan was excellent. It gave me peace and took some of the pressure of having that first round of IVF work. Not that I still didn’t want it to work, but in the back of my mind, I knew that we could still have another shot if this didn’t work and that made a huge difference emotionally and mentally for us.
